SCR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: South Central Railway (SCR) has released a new notification for Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Through this recruitment drive, 2801 apprentice training seats will be filled in various trades such as Electrician, Fitter, COPA, Welder, Diesel Mechanic and others. SCR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

Age Limit: The age limit for SCR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 ranges from 15 to 24 years (age calculated as of 11.04.2026). It’s recommended that candidates thoroughly review the recruitment notification before applying online.

Age relaxation is provided as per government rules:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years

Post Details, Eligibility & Qualification

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the following educational requirements:

• Must have passed 10th class or equivalent with at least 50% marks from a recognized board.
• Must possess ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT.
• The required qualification must be completed before submitting the application form.

Engineering graduates or diploma holders are not eligible for this apprentice notification.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be completely merit based. There will be no written examination or interview.

The merit list will be prepared based on:

• Average percentage of marks in 10th class
• Percentage marks in ITI trade

Both will be given equal weightage while preparing the merit list. If two candidates have the same marks, preference will be given to the older candidate.

Training and Stipend

Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. During the training period, candidates will receive a stipend according to government rules and apprenticeship guidelines.
