One Time Registration (OTR) – Mandatory Before Applying
UPSSSC has made One Time Registration (OTR) compulsory for all candidates applying for PET 2026. The OTR system has been active on upsssc.gov.in since 14 July 2026. Here’s what you need to know:
- Candidates must complete OTR registration first — only then can they apply for PET-2026.
- No offline applications are accepted under any circumstances.
- Candidates who completed OTR using their PET-2025 registration number cannot change their name, date of birth, or mobile number in OTR — other details can still be edited.
- New OTR registrants cannot change their mobile number later, though other details remain editable.
- Once you receive your PET-2026 registration number, you can no longer edit your OTR or application details — so review everything carefully before that point.

Difficulty level for the academic subjects (Sr. No. 1-9) will be as per NCERT Secondary/Senior Secondary standard. If the exam is held across multiple shifts/days due to a high number of applicants, UPSSSC will apply score normalization to ensure fair comparison across shifts. Your PET score remains valid for 3 years from the date results are declared or uploaded on the website.
How to Apply for UPSSSC PET 2026 Online Form
- Check the eligibility from the UPSSSC PET 2026 official notification pdf
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on upsssc.gov.in if you haven’t already
- Log in using your OTR number or registered mobile number and generate an OTP
- Enter the OTP + verification code to auto-fetch your OTR details into the application form
- Fill in remaining details — Intermediate qualification (if any), marital status, EWS status, UP state employee status, freedom fighter dependent, ex-serviceman, sportsperson, or disability category, and age relaxation claims
- Read the declaration, select “Yes,” enter the verification code, and click Submit
- Note down your 11-digit registration number from the Registration Slip
- Click “Proceed for Payment” and pay the fee online (Card/Net Banking/UPI/SBI e-Challan)
- Download and print your application form only after payment confirmation — the process is complete only after this step
