CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Notification: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification on 27 May 2026 for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 Examination. Candidates can now submit the online application form through the official website from 27 May 2026 to 19 June 2026. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 17 and 18 July 2026 for various science subjects, including Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences.

As per the official information bulletin, the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D., and admission to Ph.D. only. The application correction window will remain open from 22 June 2026 to 23 June 2026.

CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Age Limit

Age Limit: The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is not more than 30 years as on the first day of the month in which the examination is concluded, i.e. July 2026. Relaxation up to 5 years is provided to candidates belonging to OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, PwBD, Third Gender categories, women applicants, armed forces personnel, and candidates having research experience as per the official rules. General/EWS candidates must have at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from recognized universities/institutions. OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender candidates must have at least 50% marks. Candidates pursuing Master’s Degree or awaiting results are also eligible provisionally. Candidates with 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree Programme with minimum 75% marks are also eligible as per notification rules.
